consist、consist of、compose、comprise
1. consist（动词）：“由…… 组成；在于”（如 “consist of”“consist in”，无被动）；
2. consist of：短语 “由…… 组成”（如 “the team consists of 10 people”“water consists of hydrogen and oxygen”）；
3. compose（动词）：“组成；构成”（被动，be composed of，如 “the team is composed of 10 people”）；
4. comprise（动词）：“包含；组成”（主动，如 “the team comprises 10 people”“10 people comprise the team”）。
单词用法
consist的基本意思是“某物由…组成”，是不及物动词。其后常接of短语表示其构成情况，且只用于一般时态，不用于进行体和完成体，也不用于被动结构。consist还常与in,with连用。与in连用表示“以…为要素”“主要在于”；与with连用表示“和…一致”“并存”。
