cause、effect、causal、causality vs casualty
1. causality：名词 “因果关系”（如 the causality between smoking and cancer 吸烟与癌症的因果关系），不可用于 “单个原因 / 结果”；
2. 与 cause（名词 “原因”，如 the cause of illness 病因）、effect（名词 “结果”，如 the effect of medicine 药效）区别：cause/effect 是 “单个因素”，causality 是 “原因与结果的关联”（不可说 “the causality of illness”，应为 “the cause of illness”）；
3. 与 causal（形容词 “因果的”，如 causal relationship 因果关系）混淆词性（causal between 错误，应为 causality between）；
4. 拼写易与 casualty（名词 “伤亡人员”，如 war casualties 战争伤亡）混淆，需注意 “causality 是关系，casualty 是人”。
