friend、make friends、befriend vs befriend
1. befriend：动词 “与…… 交朋友；友善对待”（如 befriend a new student 与新学生交朋友；befriend animals 友善对待动物）；
2. 与 friend（名词 “朋友”/ 动词 “做朋友”，如 a close friend 亲密朋友；friend sb on social media 在社交媒体上加好友）区别：friend 作动词时是口语化 “加好友”，befriend 是 “主动友善对待并建立友谊”（friend sb online 网上加好友，befriend sb in real life 现实中交朋友）；
3. 与 make friends（短语 “交朋友”，如 make friends with 与…… 交朋友）区别：make friends 是短语，后接 “with”，befriend 是动词，直接接宾语（make friends with him= befriend him）；
